Last month, the Xcalibur Smart Mapping team had the privilege of meeting with the Vice Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhannat Dubirova. The discussion focused on opportunities for collaboration in airborne geophysics, digital geology, and modern approaches to subsurface exploration.

A key topic of the meeting was the initiative to establish the first Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Center for Geology and Subsoil Use in Central Asia. This center has the potential to become a technological hub for the region, supporting advanced mineral resource analysis, groundwater assessment, and evaluation of the country’s energy potential.

The parties highly value this constructive dialogue and see significant potential for joint projects that will contribute to the digital transformation of the sector and strengthen Kazakhstan’s technological leadership.
