Aurora Geophysics has delivered integrated geophysical survey program in Northern Balkhash, Kazakhstan
Aurora Geophysics has successfully completed a large-scale geophysical survey in the Northern Balkhash including 4,050 line km of Magnetic survey with 450 sq km of Vector IP, performed in a short period of time. This accomplishment highlights the company’s ability to deliver complex, wide-range projects with both speed and quality.
Magnetic survey continues to play a pivotal role in mineral exploration, offering fast and economical insights into subsurface geology. By detecting variations in the Earth's magnetic field caused by magnetic minerals and associated economically significant mineralization, magnetic surveys enable geoscientists to map anomalies, delineate potential ore zones, and reduce reliance on early-stage drilling. These results support more informed exploration strategies and lower project risk.
Vector IP is a modern induced polarization technique that measures electrical responses in two perpendicular directions from a single current line. This approach yields both chargeability and resistivity vectors, offering a more detailed view of the subsurface. Particularly effective in geologically complex terrains, Vector IP helps identify irregular or disseminated mineralization and supports large-scale mapping at the early stages of exploration.
By integrating Magnetic and Vector IP surveys, Aurora Geophysics provides clients with a comprehensive and reliable picture of the subsurface, improving target definition and enhancing the efficiency of mineral exploration.
Aurora Geophysics remains committed to delivering high-quality results while maintaining the highest standards of safety, environmental responsibility, and data integrity. With a proven track record in advanced geophysics, the company continues to support clients in discovering new opportunities and advancing resource development.
