We are excited to announce that Aurora Geophysics has officially launched its field season with a new and ambitious Passive Seismic Survey project in the Northern Balkhash area.
We are proud to deploy the innovative TROMINO seismometers developed by MOHO S.R.L. The TROMINO is a versatile system designed for the dynamic characterization of subsoils and structures. It supports techniques such as Horizontal-to-Vertical Spectral Ratio (HVSR) and Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves (MASW), making it a unified tool for a wide range of geophysical applications. This high-precision instrument helps to push the boundaries of seismic data acquisition, ensuring both accuracy and efficiency in the field.
The passive seismic HVSR survey is a cost-effective technique designed to quickly map the thickness of soft sedimentary deposits and regolith overlying hard basement rocks. It is based on the passive recording of microseismic waves, with the primary goal of determining the depth to the acoustic bedrock beneath the sedimentary cover.
Our field team is demonstrating excellent performance, delivering high-quality field data ensuring high standards of safety, health, and environmental protection.
This project reflects Aurora’s ongoing commitment to innovation adopting new methods and technologies to stay at the leading position in geophysical survey and deliver exceptional value to our Clients.
