Session 1: Northern Balkhash: opportunities for new discoveries
The session will begin with watching the presentation film "Northern Balkhash - the next copper elephant".
Explore the promising potential of Balkhash, the most favorable mining province in Kazakhstan. Learn about the latest and exciting discoveries, new exploration projects, geological trends and potential resource deposits that are changing the mountainous landscape of the region.
Professor Reimar Seltman will present the Balkhash segment of the Kazakh ore chain: a raw material basket for energy transition metals. Xcalibur Multiphysics CEO Andres Blanco will talk about the planned aerial geophysics program in Northern Balkhash. Lakeside Minerals CEO Trevor Wright will present the copper-porphyry cluster of Balkhash province.
Session 2: Overview of the mining industry in Kazakhstan
