Kazakhstan Day на PDAC 2026: стратегические медно-золотые проекты Казахстана

On March 1, 2026, during PDAC in Toronto, Kazakhstan will host Kazakhstan Day — A New Wave of Geological Exploration in Kazakhstan: Strategic Copper-Gold Projects of Kazakhstan.

The session will highlight a new phase of exploration growth driven by government-supported geological mapping, international joint ventures and increasing engagement from global mining companies.

A keynote address will be delivered by the Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, outlining national strategy, investment incentives and priorities in geological exploration.

The Kazakhstan Chamber of Mines will also address the broader state of the mining sector, outlining current industry trends, regulatory improvements, government initiatives and investment incentives shaping Kazakhstan’s mining landscape.

The program will feature updates from leading industry participants, including:
- Arras Minerals — presenting progress on joint venture activities in Kazakhstan;
- Xcalibur Smart Mapping — providing an update on national geophysical mapping initiatives;
- Pallas Resources — sharing practical experience operating in Kazakhstan and discussing joint venture cooperation, including engagement with international partners such as Ivanhoe.

A dedicated focus will be placed on sediment-hosted copper deposits, reflecting their growing strategic importance in the global energy transition and long-term copper supply. Independent international geologists will provide technical insights and global exploration perspectives.

Anna Fonseca, an independent geologist and industry expert, will deliver a presentation comparing epithermal and porphyry deposits and metallogenic belts in the Americas and Kazakhstan, highlighting key geological similarities, differences, and exploration potential across regions.

Private companies will also present promising copper and gold projects in Kazakhstan, showcasing advanced-stage gold deposits with multi-million-ounce potential and high-potential copper assets that underline the country’s growing strategic role in global mineral supply.

Kazakhstan Day will bring together government officials, industry leaders and investors to discuss priority minerals, exploration strategy and the future direction of the country’s mining industry.
