Key Responsibilities:

• Full Accounting Cycle: Maintain accounting and tax records for a group of companies (LLP and Private Company within the AIFC);
• Tax Planning: Financial and tax planning, tax optimization, and control of taxation for transactions with EAEU countries and non-residents;
• Reporting: Preparation and timely submission of tax returns (Forms 100.00, 150.00, 200.00, 300.00, 328.00, etc.), statistical reports, and reports to the National Bank of Kazakhstan;
• Treasury and Settlements: Monitoring bank accounts, managing accounts receivable and payable, and conducting regular reconciliations with counterparties;
• Asset Accounting: Accounting for fixed assets, intangible assets, inventory, low-value items, and finished goods movements;
• Payroll Accounting: Calculation of payroll (piece-rate and time-based systems) and payments under civil law contracts;
• Leadership: Organizing the accounting department’s work, coordinating activities, and contributing to team management.

Candidate Requirements:

• Education: Higher education in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, or Economics;
• Experience: At least 5-6 years of experience as a Chief Accountant or Deputy Chief Accountant (experience in mining, services, or manufacturing industries will be a significant advantage);
• Language Skills: English proficiency sufficient for working with documentation, business correspondence, and verbal communication, including direct interaction with foreign investors;
• Professional Knowledge:
  • Excellent knowledge of the Tax Code, Labor Code, and Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as IFRS;
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange regulations and accounting for foreign currency transactions;
  • Practical experience interacting with government authorities and support programs of the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund;
• IT Skills: Strong proficiency in 1C: Accounting 8.3, Taxpayer’s Cabinet, SONO, Client-Bank systems, and advanced MS Excel skills;
• Certifications: CAP/CIPA or Professional Accountant of Kazakhstan certification is preferred.
