Aurora Minerals Group started implementation of the Japanese strategy, Kaizen, which represents a system of practices based on continuous improvement of operational processes and management systems in order to improve quality, reduce costs and delivery time for goods and services.

Kaizen is a Japanese term for “change for the better”, a concept that has been adopted to continuously improve all business processes, with the involvement of both ordinary workers and top management. It should be noted that first philosophy "Kaizen" has been applied by a number of Japanese companies in the recovery period after the Second World War and has since spread around the world.

Aurora Minerals Group gradually implements Kaizen system according to the plan, the following practices are being currently developed:

  • - PDCA and SDCA cycles to improve and maintain ongoing work processes.
  • - A system for submission and implementation of proposals aimed to improve work processes.
  • - “5S” system at the workplace and “5 whys” method to determine the root cause of a problem.
  • - Increasing employee engagement in the continuous improvement of Aurora’s corporate culture.

Aurora Minerals Group has always paid special attention to the development of employees’ potential. Thanks to the implementation of Kaizen system, every employee, regardless of the position, will be able to contribute to Aurora development by improving their workplaces, proposing ideas, participating in quality circles and self-improvement.
