Aurora Geophysics Completes Geophysical Works for First Quantum Minerals

Aurora Geophysics Ltd. has successfully completed a Pole–Dipole Induced Polarization (IP) survey for FQM Exploration Kazakhstan LLP.

Aurora Geophysics Ltd. has successfully completed a Pole–Dipole Induced Polarization (IP) survey for FQM Exploration Kazakhstan LLP.

The Pole–Dipole IP method is a powerful exploration tool for mapping subsurface variations in chargeability and resistivity, providing valuable information for identifying and delineating mineralized zones and supporting geological interpretation and exploration targeting.
For this project, Aurora deployed an experienced IP team, with key specialists bringing 20–25 years of field experience. Particular attention was given to stable data acquisition, measurement repeatability, continuous QC, and rapid response to changing field conditions.
What made this project especially effective was the close technical interaction between Aurora’s field and QC teams and the Client’s geologists from the very first stages of the survey. This helped establish clear expectations for data quality and efficiently address technical challenges as they arose.
We also highly appreciated FQM Exploration Kazakhstan’s strong safety culture, detailed knowledge of the project area, and professional approach to field operations.

The result: a technically challenging IP program successfully delivered through experience, reliable data acquisition, continuous quality control, and strong teamwork.

We thank FQM Exploration Kazakhstan for their trust and excellent cooperation.
