On 11 September, Kazakhstan Day “Kazakhstan Mining: From Resources to Value Creation” was held as part of China Mining 2026 in Tianjin.
The event brought together government representatives, mining companies, investors and industry experts from Kazakhstan and China for an open dialogue on mineral resource development, geological exploration and investment opportunities.
The opening session featured Yersaiyn Nagaspayev, Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Baimishev Ruslan, President of the Kazakhstan Chamber of Mines. The programme also featured Li Kaiwen, CEO of RG Gold, Said Sultanov, Founder of AMG Ltd., and Timur Odilov, Partner at Haller Lomax.
A dedicated investment session, presented by Ulan Nurkhanuly, Chief Geologist of Aurora Group, focused on the Globmine, Teniz and Kemir projects and opportunities for their further development in the gold and copper sectors.
Mining remains one of the key drivers of Kazakhstan’s industrial development. In this context, Kazakhstan Day provided a practical platform for advancing Kazakhstan–China cooperation — from geological exploration and investment partnerships to technology and value creation.
We would like to thank the Kazakhstan Chamber of Mines for organizing Kazakhstan Day and all participants for the meaningful dialogue and the opportunity to strengthen business ties between Kazakhstan and China. We believe that platforms like this create a strong foundation for new projects, deeper cooperation and long-term partnerships.
