The Aurora Quest Service team is pleased to announce the start of RC reverse circulation drilling in the Karaganda region.

The site employs invited drilling specialists from Australia and Mongolia, who provide training to conduct the work following international quality and safety standards effectively.

AQS sees high potential in the development of RC drilling as it has a high penetration rate, reduced field works time, and decreased exploration costs.

Drilling is performed by the Epiroc Explorac 100. The Explorac 100 is a compact tracked rig designed explicitly for reverse circulation drilling to depths of up to 250 m. This rugged and maneuverable machine contributes to optimized production with its boom extension system and a movable rack that can hold up to 30 drill rods.

Explorac 100’s advantages

+ Remote control for safety. Two remote controls allow precise control of the rig from up to 40 meters away

+ Hand-less rod control. Remote-controlled boom control ensures safe, hands-free loading, unloading and stacking of drill rods.

+ Complex mobility. Rig and compressor can move to a new well on their own.
