From the beginning of the field season to the present day, Aurora has completed more than 2500 line kilometres of high-precision detailed magnetic surveys using modern GSM-19W Overhauser magnetometers. The works were carried out in Aktobe, Pavlodar, Dzhambul and Kostanay regions. Also, this week the company has launched a new magnetic survey project in the North Kazakhstan region of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

By the end of the year, the company has to complete more than 10,000 line kilometres of magnetic survey, and to finish this volume, Aurora purchased an additional set of Canadian GEM Systems equipment, consisting of 5 new GSM-19W magnetometers. Thus, at the moment, Aurora AG Limited has 10 pieces of GSM-19W magnetometers at its disposal, allowing it to perform more than 120 line kilometers of continuous detailed magnetic surveys daily.

For geophysical data processing and interpretation Aurora uses the advanced Geosoft Oasis Montaj software in conjunction with VOXI cloud platform used for 3D modeling. Additionally, Aurora acquired ZondRes2D and Res2DInv — 2.5D software for resistivity and IP data processing.

Aurora AG Limited continues to carry out complex geophysical borehole logging including directional survey, gamma-ray logging, resistivity logging, induced polarization and magnetic susceptibility. Works are carried out in Pavlodar and Karaganda regions.

To successfully complete the projects, the company has expanded its staff of highly qualified personnel in geophysics, and at the moment, Aurora AG Limited employs more than 50 people. Aurora AG Limited leads the Kazakhstani market of geophysical services and continues to perform works in accordance with quality and safety standards.
